Installed Townhouse Irrigation System
Advanced Irrigation worked with our townhouse association's board, committee chair and management to install an irrigation system in three phases over the course of two years.
The townhouse complex was built in the 1970s. Installation of a sprinkler system was challenging. The buildings are close together and there is little room to maneuver large equipment. The complex has more landscaped gardens than turf and many mature trees with large roots. The garden areas consist of one large common area garden, four smaller interior gardens and many private landscaped areas. Most of the installation had to be dug by hand and it was necessary to pierce beneath five driveways, one city street, and numerous public and interior sidewalks.
The installers worked hard, and dug quickly. On occasions, they worked through rain. The team carefully removed and replaced plantings, mulch and sod and reseeded turf areas they disturbed. At the end of the day, they thoroughly cleaned the area. In places it was difficult to tell where they had been. In the final phase, homeowners were given the option of extending installation of the irrigation system beyond the common areas into their private areas and Chris and his team worked in a cooperative effort to incorporate these additions and adjusted their schedule to accommodate homeowners who wished to personally move their plantings.
Overall, Advanced Irrigation did an excellent job even though the installation was not without complications. There were delays in completing the project and during the process of installing the sprinkling system, cables were cut. The delays were caused by periods of excessive rain and the necessity to obtain City permits to tunnel beneath a street. All cables at the complex are underground. The cable company lays another cable every time they restore service or upgrade quality. Given the maze of underground cables, both working and not working, it is understandable that cables could be cut. |

Consulted Customer on Sprinkler System
We just purchased a house with an irrigation system and was unsure if it was properly maintained. Advanced Irrigation came out to ensure our sprinkler system was fully functioning and fix one sprinkler head. After a full inspection, I was thoroughly consulted on the good/bad of my system as well as given an option to install a rain sensor.
Overall, I'm very pleased. Although they are in Albertville and I live in Lakeville, they were on time and easy to schedule. I contacted them based on Angie's List recommendations. Since we were unsure of the quality and functionality of our sprinkler system, we needed a professional's opinion. From the beginning, I felt very comfortable with them. They checked each sprinkler head, zone, and watering times. Since this is the first time I've had a sprinkler system, I had a lot of basic questions which were answered in a way I could understand without feeling like I've been talked down to. He suggested I install a rain sensor which I agreed to. I was given two options to choose from (wireless or wired) and he installed it right away.
A few weeks later, I had noticed our system was running at odd times throughout the day and after a recent rainfall. Not knowing the cause, I called them to have another inspection. They came out the next day and told me a wire w/ the sensor was in the wrong spot and that our system had multiple schedules running. He fixed everything promptly at no charge. I'm very happy and pleased!
Installed Irrigation System
Chris put in an irrigation system for us and has maintained it since. He has also done some landscaping. He does the spring and fall work. We had our control box have an issue about a year after he installed it. He responded to my voicemail immediately, came out, and installed a new box. This is through no fault of his!
We have even screwed up the programming ourselves and Chris came over and fix it for us. He is professional and did a great job. We would certainly hire him again for irrigation if we needed it. We have since used him for landscaping. |

Complete Irrigation System Installed for City Sized Lot
Chris, the owner, arrived on time and took his time going into detail about what he would recommend. His estimate included the plumbing, which he arranged. A couple of companies that also bid did not include the plumbing component, ($400 - $600 more) and even suggested that I had to find my own plumber to do it. The fact that Chris' bid INCLUDED everything, including the plumbing, was a big part of the sale. The crew arrived when I was told they would and finished the job on the same day. There were no problems and the system works great. |

5 Zone Irrigation System Installed in Yard
Chris was very prompt and his crew was just as professional. We had a water main problem and Chris was very patient and came back numerous times to make sure that everything worked and adjusted some of the heads. Wonderful crew. I highly recommend them! |

This responsiveness continued throughout the prepatory period - prior to doing the work, continued over the two days the work was performed and has continued through the follow up period. New Irrigation System Installed in Both Front and Back Yards and Landscaped Area Completely Renovated
We had 6 companies come out for quotes. Chris came in with a very competitive bid. One of the things we liked about this company was the "one stop shopping" aspect. He was able to complete all aspects of our goal. The irrigation took only 1 day to install. The new landscaping was taken care of the next day. They took care with several tricky areas and hand dug when needed. The trenching machine did tear up the lawn some, but there is really no way to avoid it. The crew spread seed and now, a month later, the yard is looking much better. Everything was cleaned up well. We requested that he come out and adjust one sprinkler head that has "sunk." He readily agreed to come, but admittedly he wasn't sure how long it would be; he came out in just a couple days and fixed it. Chris is very willing to answer all questions and is generally willing to make the customer happy. He and his crew are all hard working, friendly and professional. |

6 Zone Lawn Irrigation Installed
Chris and his team installed a 6 zone lawn irrigation for my home near Lake of the Isles in Minneapolis. I am very pleased. Chris is a knowledgeable professional. The plumbing was subbed to Stewart Plumbing and they installed copper piping from the main. This is the only way to plumb an irrigation system in order to get the pressure necessary to drive the system. Chris and his team were in and out in one day. He delivered everything he promised and I would recommend his company very highly. |

We were referred to Advanced Irrigation by a very reputable landscaping company who utilizes Advanced Irrigation as their main irrigation contractor. We were very impressed with the entire process - from quote to project completion. Chris and his team were very prompt and professional.
